Madison, Georgia Tour of Homes Car Show 2003
|
Sunday, May 4, 2003This is an annual event sponsored by the Corvette Association of the South on the town square in Madison, Georgia. It's an "open" car show so other marques were there in addition to Corvette.I decided to take two cars; Gael drove the CE and I took along our "Motorama" '64 Corvette. Our Classic Glass Club president, Tom Wilcox, accused me of "showing off..." Well, maybe just a little -- but I wanted Gael to have the experience of showing the CE. The CE is wearing it's new red mask and mirror covers from C5 Creations:

I was driving the '64 and was cruising at what I thought was 70 when I noticed the GPS was reading 80; seems there's a 10MPH discrepancy in the '64 speedo..good to know! We arrived on the square in Madison a bit before 10AM:

This show had a professional judge as well as a "participants" competition where everyone showing a car could vote for five cars; a trophy was awarded to the top fifteen cars. There was a DJ playing 50s and 60s songs and lots of great cars. Gael fell in love with this 1938 Cadillac, even with the purple leather interior; well, she IS the Queen of Excess...
